In the last weekend of September 2014, I shot a gorgeous little ceremony in Ottawa’s Hintonburg neighbourhood. The entire day was cozy and intimate, with only 30 or so of the couple’s closest relatives and friends in attendance. They had their four children with them, there to celebrate the union of their families! The ceremony itself was held in a neighbourhood cafe right on Somerset Street West, the Studio Cafe. It is a small space, usually a coffee shop. On this day it was turned into a ceremony and cocktail space, with great artwork lining the walls. The bride’s dress was simple and elegant, allowing her natural beauty to show through. Everyone in attendance was moved by the love that the couple showed towards one another as well as the laughs they shared. They topped off their day with a cocktail hour and dinner reception in the couple’s own house, with long tables lined up in their dining room. See our favourite images below!
